On-site Chair Massage – Calm Holistic Academy

On-site chair massage is a mixture of Swedish and Indian head massage techniques along with acupressure points on the back, neck, head, arms and hands. This is a fully-clothed, seated massage on a portable on-site chair which can be brought from place to place as well as easily cleaned and sanitised between clients.

This particular massage is very popular in a corporate setting and is also quite popular in airports, shopping centres, concerts, events and gyms just to name a few.

This treatment can be offered in 15, 20 or 30 minute slots and can be tailored to the needs of your client.

This one day course will cover the theory of on-site massage including: what is onsite chair massage,  benefits of onsite chair massage, what to expect in an onsite chair massage, equipment and preparation, positioning your client, contraindications of to onsite chair massage, and review of the bones, muscles and the body’s systems as well as a full on-site massage routine covering massage strokes and movements.

Requirements to attend:  You must hold a recognised Anatomy & Physiology certificate (ITEC, VTCT, QQI).
